Free School Workshop

Sydney Zoo is excited to announce an amazing opportunity for Stage 2 students to participate in a new Caring for Country program for FREE.

Thanks to Microsoft Australia, 10 schools located in the Western Sydney region will be selected to take part in this pilot program in Term 3 or Term 4, 2023.

Students will explore native bush tucker plants, engage with traditional tools, weapons, and resources and meet Kutukulung, the long-neck turtle. First Nations educators will teach students how they can play a key role through everyday actions to protect long-neck turtles and their habitats.

The workshop will end with a traditional dance performance with the participation of the students.

To be considered, please complete the application form below. This opportunity is open to Stage 2 students from public schools only.
