The 2023 National Science Week theme is ‘Innovation: Powering future industries’. How do we innovate at Sydney Zoo?
Learn about innovation and enrichment in animal care when you attend the Enrichment Hub in the Harvey Norman Amphitheatre for FREE talks daily between 10am – 3pm.
Investigate innovation around the zoo with a FREE Science Week Discovery Trail map when you enter the zoo.
Take students on a self-guided visit to Sydney Zoo during Science Week for only $15 per student (teachers attend free with their class).
Attend the Sydney Zoo FREE enrichment hub at the Harvey Norman Amphitheatre where students get to:
– learn about animal adaptations and needs
– learn from zookeepers about technological advancements and innovation in animal care
– create enrichment and help prepare it for zookeepers to implement in the zoo
– investigate some of the enrichment that is created for various species at Sydney Zoo
Students will investigate innovation around the zoo with their FREE Science Week trail map and resources to discover different enrichment devices and environmental features. These will be available to download and bring during your visit.
