The Zoo It Your Way Birthday Party Package includes zoo entry and lunch vouchers to redeem kids meals.

The Wild Celebration Birthday Party package includes zoo entry, a private hired space for 1 hour, set up with decorated tables, where you and your guests can enjoy lunch (each child receives a kids meal) and cake (BYO), a dedicated party host and the choice of a Koala photo or Reptile Encounter. Additional add ons (fee) are a reptile encounter, koala trail experience or a virtual reality session. The Zoo is open and accessible to your group during thee standard trading hours around your party hire time.

Both packages include a digital party invitation template and a birthday badge for the birthday child. 

Both packages include access to the zoo all day during opening hours. In addition to all day access, the Wild celebration package includes a 1 hour session time where you will have access to a reserved party area. The session time booked is the time the reserved space session begins at the Hollow. Session times available are 10am, 11:30am, 1pm and 2:30pm. Note, this sessions time is not the start time of the party booking, we recommend having guests arrive early before the session time to ensure no guests miss out.

If you do have specific dietary requirements, please let us know what they are, we will provide some options from food and beverage based on your preferences.

No, any optional Birthday Party add-ons need to match the number of children participating in the Birthday Party. This does not apply to the Food and Beverage Vouchers (coffee cards and $25 food vouchers), where any number of quantity can be booked.

Available optional add-ons are different based on your Birthday Party package. VR Theatre and Food and Beverage vouchers can be added to either package. The Wild Celebration package includes 1 group party photo at Koala Trail and 1 individual photo of the birthday child with a Koala, however an additional experience can be added so your attending party guests can also get individual photos. A Reptile Encounter is also available as an optional add-on for the Wild Celebration package, where guests can get up close to Australian snakes and reptiles. Optional add-ons can also be added for accompanying adults/ guests.

Our reptile encounters are tailored to the age of the birthday child and could include eg a blue tongued lizard, a shingleback lizard or a python. Our experienced keepers will present the reptile to the whole group and the party child will have the opportunity to hold the reptile and have their photo taken on the parents' device.

If your child does have a fear of any animal, please let us know. However the Keeper team select animals based on a number of factors – child’s age, frequency of encounters on the day, other groups in the zoo, their feeding schedule and their general mood for the day.

The Koala experience included with the Wild Celebration Birthday Party package consists of 1 group party photo at Koala Trail and 1 individual photo of the birthday child with a Koala. QR codes for the group photo can be given for you to hand out to all the other guests as a souvenir of the day. We can print the original group photo and the Party child photo to take home. If you would like to purchase more individual photos you can do so at $15 per person as an optional add-on.

Our Koala Experience is held in the Koala Trail, where the group will have the opportunity for a photo with a koala, individually (if purchased as an option add-on) or as a group with each person receiving a photo (per voucher applicable).

Vouchers are provided to the parent at the beginning of the day and they can redeem those at the Koala Trail up until 3.45pm.

If adding on the additional extras of the Koala Trail or Reptile Encounter, the entire group of paid party children must be booked into these together, they cannot split the group between experiences. Any number of VR experiences may be booked. These experiences need to be supervised by adults at all times. Vouchers will be provided for the Koala Trail and VR experiences to be redeemed at the experiences location.

We provide simple table decorations and set ups for your party, there is no need for you to provide your own decorations. If there is anything specific you would like to bring for the tables, please advise us prior to the day. For the safety of our animals tables scatters, balloons, streamers, party poppers, sparklers, paint, glass, alcohol, scooters, skateboards, knives or balls of any kind are not permitted into Sydney Zoo.

The session time is the reserved party area booking time in The Hollow. This is when lunch will be served by your dedicated host and any formalities like cake cutting can can take place in a private area.

The reserved party area in The Hollow is fir 1 hour only. Our Birthday Party staff will need to clean and reset the space, so the area must be clear of all personal items at the conclusion of your party.

Our friendly team will send you a reminder that the payment is due. If we do not hear from you within 24 hours, we will cancel the booking. Please keep in touch with us if you require more time to secure your payment. If you cancel your party within 3 days of the booking date, a cancellation fee of $100 may be charged.

Refunds are not provided on completed bookings but can be put towards adult ticket purchases for on the day.

We can add all extra people to your booking and send you a payment link to make payment. Please advise of any extra participants as soon as you are aware as we will need to provide extra wristbands and any extra vouchers will need to be arranged. Final numbers will need to be provided no less that 48 hours prior to your party.
