Sydney Zoo was designed to be inclusive for all our guests. All public areas and exhibits are accessible by wheelchair or mobility scooter. The zoo is flat with wide pathways that span across the zoo, making your visit easy. In fact, we have no stairs in the entire zoo! We also offer stroller and mobility device hire, see below for pricing and booking information.
We offer concession rates for the following:
Valid identification must be provided at the ticket desk or express entry on arrival. Photo ID may also be required. Please have your cards ready for easy entry.
These discounts are only available to the card holder, all other guests (including other names on the card) will pay regular ticket prices.
The Companion Card is for people with severe or profound disability, who require a companion or high-level attendant to provide support in order to participate at most available community venues and activities.
We offer complimentary entry to a companion or carer with the purchase of a ticket or membership for the person needing support. Please see the ticket desk on arrival for assistance.
If a membership is purchased, simply present the companion card each time you visit together with the membership digital ticket.
Sydney Zoo offers high quality mobility devices for hire from our information desk at the zoo entrance subject to availability. Photo identification is required. For advanced bookings, please contact our reservations team at 02 7202 2560 as availability is limited. Pricing for hire of these devices is below.

The weight limit on scooters is 135kg based on manufacturer’s instructions. The hire of a mobility scooter is only available to persons with limited or restricted mobility i.e. a person who is not capable of walking large distances due to a medical condition, an injury, pregnancy, obesity or advancing age.
