STAGE 5

Traditional weaving

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have utilised natural materials from their local environment using skill and innovation for many thousands of years. Students will explore how a wide variety of woven designs were used for fishing, gathering, and storing food, and carrying water. This practical workshop will teach students how to weave with natural materials using traditional methods.

Environmental change and management

Chimpanzee conservation in Burundi. 

Students will be introduced to Flora, an orphaned Chimpanzee living in Burundi. Learn about Chimpanzee habitats and how students can directly impact conservation efforts around the globe through environmental management.
