How do my suppliers deliver to your venue?
To ensure a smooth delivery and setup, we recommend using our preferred Sydney Zoo suppliers who know the venue inside out. If you choose external suppliers, please provide their contact details to your event executive at least two weeks before your event. Your event executive will coordinate and schedule all deliveries to keep things running seamlessly.
What time can my suppliers access the venue before my event?
Suppliers typically have access to your event space 1–2 hours before the event starts. If you need extra bump-in or bump-out time, our trusted Sydney Zoo suppliers can often accommodate this smoothly. For other suppliers, please coordinate with your event executive to arrange additional access, please note that extra charges may apply.
Is styling included for my event?
We work alongside an array of event stylists for your special day. Should you have any requests please advise your event executive.
Are there any restrictions for styling/theming?
Yes, confetti, glitter, streamers, rice, or balloons are not permitted within or around the Zoo grounds. Similarly, smoke machines, dry ice machines and electric fireworks are permitted within certain venue spaces. Please speak with your event executive for more information.
Where do my guests park?
All parking at Sydney Zoo is FREE in our on-site car park.
Is your venue wheelchair friendly
Sydney Zoo is 100% accessible – there will be no part of the Zoo that is off limits to those in wheelchairs or those who require walking assistance. We’ve also made sure we’ve included wide pathways that span across the Zoo. If you require any wheelchair or scooter hire, please advise your event executive.
Can I leave anything on site when my event has finished?
All equipment/styling must be removed from Zoo grounds on the same day, unless previously agreed otherwise with your event executive.
Do you cater for special dietary requirements?
Absolutely! Dietary requirements must be confirmed no later than 14 days prior to your event.
Do you offer team building activities for groups during lunch break or throughout the day?
Definitely! Please speak with your event executive for our variety of team building and group offers.
Can my guests smoke at your venue?
Smoking is not permitted within Zoo grounds. However, guests are welcome to smoke outside of the Sydney Zoo Entrance building.
Can we offer an animal encounter to our guests?
Sure can! Your event executive can discuss what we can offer to create some extra special memories.

Sydney Zoo is the sole caterer for all functions. Any external caterers must be approved by Sydney Zoo.
Surcharges and public holiday rates may apply pending your selected dates.
*Wedding packages are inclusive of one security guard for five hours. Please note extensions of venue hire will incur an additional security guard fee to extend this service also. For events over 150 guests an additional security guard is required at an additional cost.
Access to Sydney Zoo grounds for bridal photoshoots is for 1 hour in duration. For bridal parties with an excess of 8 people, an additional Sydney Zoo staff member is required at an additional fee to assist with the escort through the grounds.
Minimum spends are required for all venue spaces.
Sydney Zoo is able to assist with any entertainment needs. Please note due to animal welfare restrictions may be imposed on some music and dance performances. Prior written approval must be granted by Sydney Zoo should the use of drums be required.
Any damage sustained to Sydney Zoo property and/or fittings during a function will be charged for any repairs, labour or replacement, as deemed necessary by management.
