Globally rhino populations are in decline as they are poached for their horns and sold in the illegal wildlife trade.
The illegal wildlife trade doesn’t just affect rhinos. Countless other species are targeted from elephants, tigers and sharks to lesser-known species such as civets and pangolins.
You can help combat the illegal wildlife trade with the purchases you make.
Buy wildlife-friendly art, fabrics and paper products on your travels to support local communities.
Avoid souvenirs made from animals eg. ivory jewellery, tortoiseshell combs, animal skins and furs, civet coffee, and teeth necklaces.
