Gareth is an experienced, trusted and proven finance executive with domestic and international experience in a range of industries, including leading global hospitality and travel organisations. He displays strong leadership skills and has a passion for customer focussed industries.
Gareth’s previous roles include CFO for Carlson Hospitality (Radisson and Regent Hotels) and Carlson Marketing for Asia, CFO for Hilton Hotels in Australia/NZ and General Manager for Lindblad Expeditions, the world’s leading expedition cruise company. He is experienced in the areas of finance, business development and strategic planning.
Throughout his career, Gareth has built a collaborative and coaching leadership style, building trust and engaging with employees at all levels. He is adept and experienced at change management, driving international expansion and transitions.
Gareth is also a graduate of the AICD and possesses strong governance and compliance experience through his many company secretary roles.
In his role as Chief Financial Officer at Sydney Zoo, Gareth is responsible for the planning, implementation, managing and running of all financial activities. He is a proven mentor, possessing strong interpersonal and influencing skills, allowing him to build and foster excellent relationships with all stakeholders.
