Here’s what’s happening from the 17th – 29th of January, all FREE, with your Sydney Zoo entry ticket.
PLUS, visit Sydney Zoo this summer holidays for your chance to WIN a birthday party at Sydney Zoo in 2023.
How to enter:
1. Simply purchase a ticket online during the summer school holidays or if you are a member/unlimited pass holder, book a return visit to Sydney Zoo!
2. You will then automatically go into the draw for your chance to win.
One lucky person will win 1x Birthday Party at Sydney Zoo in 2023 for 25 people.
Promotion commences at 6am AEST 19 December 2022 and final entries close at 5pm AEDT 29 January 2023 (“Promotional Period”). Individuals can enter the 2 millionth visitor promotion by purchasing a valid ticket to Sydney Zoo and visiting during the “Promotional Period”. Existing Sydney Zoo membership and unlimited pass holders can enter by booking a return visit to Sydney Zoo through My Account and visiting during the “Promotional Period”. Prize draw will be announced at the completion of the competition. Competition closes 29.1.2023.
1.1 The promoter responsible for the publication and adjudication of this Competition and the provision of the prizes is Sydney Zoo Pty Ltd (ABN/ACN 55168970090) of PO Box 40 Doonside
2767. (the “Promoter”).
1.2 Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these Terms and Conditions.
1.3 Entry is only open to Australian residents aged 3 years and over who reside in Australia, at the date of their winning the prize. Employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter and agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter. Immediate family means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or step-child (whether natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or 1st cousin.
1.4 By entering this Competition, Entrants will be deemed to be bound by and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
1.5 Any questions regarding the Competition are to be directed to the Promoter.
1.6 Entry and continued participation in the promotion is dependent on entrants following and acting in accordance with the instructions of the promoter, which can be viewed at https://sydneyzoo.com/visit/2-millionth-competition

2.1. Individuals can enter the 2 millionth visitor promotion by purchasing a valid ticket to Sydney Zoo and visiting during the “Promotional Period”.
2.2 Existing Sydney Zoo membership and unlimited pass holders can enter by booking a return visit to Sydney Zoo through My Account and visiting during the “Promotional Period”.
2.3 Any data usage in accessing the entry pages through a suitable mobile phone is at the cost to the individual.
2.4 Parents/guardians enter on behalf of their child. Children need to be aged 3-15 to be eligible.
2.5 All entries must be received by 5pm AEST on 29 January 2023.
3.1 Incomplete, indecipherable or illegible entries will be invalid.
3.2 Submissions must not violate any law, rule or regulation under national or state acts.
3.3 A valid email address must be provided at time of booking your visit to be eligible to enter the competition.
3.4 By entering, each Entrant grants license in perpetuity to the Promoter for the use and adoption of their Submission royalty free, worldwide, on all mediums, and their name, to be posted on the Internet or any website in connection with this Competition, and the advertising, promotion, and publicity of the Competition, and otherwise, as stated in these Terms (is solely determined by the Promoter); and each Entrant warrants and represents that they have all right and authority to grant such permission
3.5 The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant’s identity, age and place of residence) and to disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions or who tampers with the entry process. Errors and omissions will be accepted at the Promoter’s discretion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
4.1 This Promotion is a game of chance, and skill plays no part in the selection of the winner.
4.2 The winner will be notified by email or phone. The Promoter’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
4.3 There will be one winner (total).
5.1 The competition includes one major prize winner only.
5.2 The maximum value of the major prize is AUD $1,375. The Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash.
5.3 The major prize winner will receive;
5.3.1 A birthday party at Sydney Zoo in 2023 (date subject to availability) for 25 people in total
5.3.2 Entry to Sydney Zoo for the 25 party attendees. Any additional attendees will be a cost to the winner.
5.3.3 A birthday party for 1.5 hour duration in a reserved party area with themed decorations
5.3.4 Sydney Zoo party host
5.3.5 Food package for 25 party attendees.
5.4 Any costs associated with transportation to and from Sydney Zoo and/or accommodation will be the responsibility of the winner.
5.5 Prize fulfilment date and times are subject to change without notification.
5.6 The winner’s experience will be captured on camera by Sydney Zoo. The winner agrees to provide Sydney Zoo with a worldwide licence in perpetuity for all material captured both audio and visual.
5.7 Winners will be notified by email or phone no later than 5pm 03 February 2023.
5.8 The winner must reply to the Promoter via email. Instructions will be sent
to the winner. Winners are required to reply by 11pm 07 February 2023 with their full name, date of birth, postal address and email address in the message so that the Promoter may arrange for them to claim their prize.
5.9 After being contacted by the promoter, the winners must confirm their acceptance of the Prize and ability to fulfil all aspects of the Birthday Party Major Prize.
5.10 If for any reason the Prize winner does not confirm their acceptance of the Prize and their requirements, the Prize will be redrawn at 5pm 8 February 2023.
5.11 If the Prize (or part of the Prize) is unavailable, the Promoter, in its discretion, reserves the right to substitute the Prize (or that part of the Prize) with a Prize to the equal value and/or specification.
5.12 If a potential winner is disqualified for any reason, the applicable prize may be awarded to a runner-up, if any, in the Promoter’s sole discretion. Acceptance of any prize shall constitute
and signify each winner’s agreement and consent that Promoter and its designees may
use the winner’s name, city, state, likeness, Submission and/or prize information in connection with the Competition for promotional, advertising or other purposes, worldwide, in any and all media now known or hereafter devised, including the Internet, without limitation and without further payment, notification, permission or other consideration, except where prohibited by law.
5.13 The Sydney Zoo Birthday Party prize are subject to the zoo general terms and conditions, including any applicable age restriction. The Promoter and event organizers hereby expressly reserve the right to reject any winner (and/or their companion) for any inappropriate behaviour, whilst participating in any element of the Prize.
5.14 Entrants consent to the Promoter using the entrant’s name, likeness, image and/or voice (including photograph, film and/or recording of the same) in any media for an unlimited period without remuneration for the purpose of promoting Sydney Zoo (including any outcome), and promoting any products manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by the Promoter.
5.15 The Promoter reserves the right to change the Prize mechanics of the Promotion at any time
5.16 The Promoter will provide at least 48 hours notification of any changes to the operation of this Promotion as contemplated throughout these Terms and Conditions by providing a
new set of Terms and Conditions for the Promotion for download within Sydney Zoo’s
5.17 Each eligible entrant and all other persons release the Promoter from any claim loss, damage, expense, cost or charge related to such change.
5.18 If this promotion is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, including but not limited to technical difficulties, unauthorised intervention or fraud, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law: (a) to disqualify any entrant; or (b) to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the promotion, as appropriate.
5.19 Any cost associated with accessing the promotional pages is the entrant’s responsibility and is dependent on the Internet service provider used.
5.20 Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limit, exclude or modify or purports to limit, exclude or modify the statutory consumer guarantees as provided under the Competition and
Consumer Act, as well as any other implied warranties under the ASIC Act or similar
consumer protection laws in the State and Territories of Australia (“Non-Excludable Guarantees”). Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees, the Promoter (including its respective officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the promotion.
5.21 Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees, the Promoter (including its respective officers, employees and agents) is not responsible for and excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control); (b) any theft, unauthorized access or third party interference; (c) any entry or Prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any variation in Prize value to that stated in these Terms and Conditions; (e) any tax liability incurred by a winner or entrant; or (f) use of a Prize.
5.22 The Promoter collects personal information in order to conduct the promotion and may, for this purpose, disclose such information to third parties, including but not limited to agents, contractors, service providers, and Prize suppliers. Entry is conditional on providing this information. The Promoter may, for an indefinite period, unless otherwise advised, use the information for promotional, marketing, publicity, research and profiling purposes, including sending electronic messages or telephoning the entrant. Entrants should direct any request to access, update or correct information to the Promoter. All entries become the property of the Promoter.
5.23 The Promoter accepts no responsibility for Entries that are lost, damaged, corrupted, delayed, illegal or which are unable to be submitted due to software or hardware failure or for any other reason beyond its control including unavailability of the websites.
5.24 The laws of Australia apply to this promotion to the exclusion of any other law. Entrants submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Australia.
