What is the event? 
GLOW at Sydney Zoo is back – bigger, brighter, and better!

Be dazzled by over 70 giant animal lanterns and installations, a magical Underwater Wonderland, Neon Playground, 7NEWS Ferris wheel, Neon Arcade, Glowy Golf by Carnival Cruise Line, and KIIS Rides Zone featuring the all-NEW Vortex Tunnel, gigantic 8-lane Superslide, and Kids Dodgems. Explore the Aquarium after-dark, and encounter hundreds of critters in the largest Reptile and Nocturnal house in the world. Plus food trucks, GLOW bar, and so much more!

GLOW at Sydney Zoo is an accessible and inclusive event, designed specifically with no hills or steps for varying levels of mobility, for everyone to enjoy.

Friday 12 May to Saturday 17 June 2023.

When does the event start and finish?
The GLOW Light Walk is open 5:30pm to 9:30pm, with last entry at 7:30pm. The GLOW Zone is open until 10:00pm.

Can we access the whole zoo?
Tickets include access to the GLOW Light Walk which is an illuminated path through Primate Boulevard, the Aquarium, the Reptile house and the Australia precinct. All other areas of the zoo are not accessible during the event.

Will I get to see animals?
The GLOW Light Walk includes entry to our Aquarium and Reptile house where you can visit some of our slithery, scaly and spiky residents. While some of our other animals outdoors may be visible during your visit, we cannot guarantee you will be able to see them. We prioritise the welfare of our animals and allow them access to their night dens at all times.

Will the animals be affected?
No. We prioritise the safety and welfare of our animals and have ensured the event footprint and activations will not affect the animals in any way.

Will the light walk art be visible during the day?
GLOW at Sydney Zoo is a special event with lights and attractions that can’t be experienced at Sydney Zoo during the day. While you may be able to see some of the sculptures during the day, they will not be illuminated or interactive, and will be barriered from public access.

What food and drink options will be available?
Blackbear BBQ, Smashville Burgers, The Food Trap, Absurd Bird, Kerbside Creamery, Bubble Tea, glow in the dark desserts, GLOW Fairy Floss and GLOW Bar.

Are your restaurant and cafes open during the event?
There are many delicious food options available from the food trucks in the GLOW Zone, our restaurant and cafes inside the zoo will not be open during the event.

Is GLOW accessible?
Yes, Sydney Zoo is a wheelchair accessible site with no hills or steps. All areas of the event are accessible for guests with wheelchairs. Please note that the 7NEWS Ferris wheel, Super Slide, Kids Dodgems and Space Jam may not be suitable for guests with compromised mobility, please speak to our friendly visitor experience staff to discuss your needs.

Do you offer prams, wheelchairs or mobility scooters for hire?
We offer pram and wheel chair hire and recommend pre-booking before you visit by calling us on 02 7202 2560.

What can’t I bring to the GLOW event?
Please refer to our conditions of entry.

Can I leave the event and re-enter on the same night?
You can access the GLOW Light Walk and GLOW Zone as many times as you’d like on the same night. Your wristband will gain you access all evening.

Photosensitive Epilepsy Caution
This event may not be suitable for people with Photosensitive Epilepsy. Some lighting used at this event may be disruptive to people who are sensitive to light.

Can I bring an umbrella?
Umbrellas are welcome onsite, and can also be purchased at the GLOW Retail Outlets throughout the GLOW Light Walk.

How long does the GLOW Light Walk take?
The GLOW Light Walk will take approximately 1 hour at a comfortable pace. You are able to spend an unlimited amount of time in the GLOW Zone until closing time.

What are the session times?
5:30pm, 6:00pm, 6:30pm, 7:00pm and 7:30pm. The event is approximately a 2 hour experience.

Can I arrive outside of my session time?
To ensure you can easily obtain a car parking space, we recommend you arrive for the session time you have booked. We are limiting the number of guests entering the zoo and have staggered arrival times throughout the night. You can stay as long as you want and all tickets include FREE parking.

Can I arrive earlier?
GLOW at Sydney Zoo starts at 5:30pm. If you are a member or have a separate booking for earlier in the day, you will be required to leave the zoo by 5pm and re-enter after 5:30pm so we can prepare for the event.

What are ticket prices?
Adult tickets (aged 16+): Gate price $34.99. Online $29.99
Children (aged 3-15): Gate price $29.99. Online $24.99
Infants (0-2): FREE – but still require a booked ticket to help manage guest capacity.

Do you offer concession tickets?
No concession tickets are available.

How do I buy tickets?

Can I buy tickets at the gate?
We recommend pre-booking tickets online to avoid missing out. If there are spots left each night, tickets will be available to purchase at the gate.

Can I change my booking date or get a refund?
Tickets are non-transferrable and non-refundable as part of conditions of sale.

Do I get a refund if it’s raining?
Being an outdoor event, GLOW is an all-weather experience. Ticket holders are advised to check the weather report before attending and bring appropriate clothing. We will advise ticket holders if a session is postponed or cancelled due to the weather.

What is included in my ticket?
Every GLOW event ticket includes access to the GLOW Light Walk and GLOW Zone, to experience light activations including Glowy Golf by Carnival Cruises, Sky Castle by ENESS, 7NEWS Underwater Wonderland, Lunar Lamp Posts, Neon Playground, roving performers.

Does my GLOW ticket include day entry to the zoo?
No, the GLOW ticket includes entry to GLOW at Sydney Zoo from 5:30pm to 9:30pm only. If you’d like to experience Sydney Zoo and our animals during the day, you can purchase a day ticket at www.sydneyzoo.com

Does my day ticket include entry to GLOW?
No, a Sydney Zoo day ticket or membership includes zoo entry only during the day from 9:00am to 5:00pm.

Are the 7NEWS Ferris wheel, Superslide, Space Jam, and Kids Dodgems included in my ticket?
Ancillary offerings are not included in your ticket.

What is the cost of the 7NEWS Ferris wheel, Superslide, Space Jam and Kids Dodgems?
Credits for rides can be purchased for $5, and are available from ticket booths across the site. The 7NEWS Ferris wheel, Superslide and Kids Dodgems are 2 Credits; and Spacejam is 3 Credits. The use of ancillary offerings are subject to availability on the night.

What benefit does buying rides online give me?
Pre-purchase your ride Credits online – 2 for $9 and save $1.

Will individual rides be available for purchase on my visit date?
Yes, if you are only interested in a single or particular ride, you can purchase individual Credits from the booth.

I was not able to use all of my Ride Credits, can I use them on another night?
Ride Credits are non-refundable. Any Credits not used on the date night of your visit will be forfeited. Ride Credits cannot be transferred to another night.

Is the Neon Arcade included in my ticket?
The purchase of tokens is required for all games in the Neon Arcade.

Is the Companion Card honoured for this event?
We offer complimentary entry to a companion or carer with the purchase of a ticket or membership for the person needing support. Please see the information desk on arrival for assistance.

Where is event parking?
FREE parking is included in your ticket at our onsite carpark. On arrival, follow the instructions of event staff who will direct you to the parking area.

Where do we park if the carpark is full?
Capacity of the venue is based on the amount of car spots we have available. Please follow directions from our carpark marshals upon arrival.

I am a Sydney Zoo member, can I enter for FREE?
Entry to GLOW at Sydney Zoo is not included in your membership. GLOW at Sydney Zoo is a special event with lights and attractions that can’t be experienced at Sydney Zoo during the day. 

Do I get a members discount?
Keep an eye out for the member presale offer sent to the specified email address on the account. There are no members discounts on the 7News Ferris Wheel, Space Jam, Super Slide, Kids Dodgems, or food and beverage and retail.

I brought tickets to GLOW thinking it was for VIVID at Taronga Zoo, what do I do?
